Polytetrafluoroethylene envelope gasket，also named PTFE envelope gasket, Teflon envelope gasket, is a non-metallic gasket, generally composed of two parts: the envelope and insert. The envelope layer mainly plays a role in corrosion resistance and usually made of polytetrafluoroethylene. The insert (filler) is a non-metallic sealing material with or without a metal reinforcement layer with good elasticity.

The envelope gasket is divided into V type, U type and L type according to the different inner core structures. Some containers, pipes, and valves in the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries are often connected with PTFE gaskets to ensure clean materials. PTFE envelope gaskets are widely used in the sealing of various strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidation, chlorine and non-contaminated media

Type A Envelope Gasket PTFE

Item No.: JSG-PT31
Made in the material forming a “V” shape space for one filler. The point of the “V” protrudes slightly into the pipe causing slight flow turbulence.

Type B& C PTFE Teflon Gasket

Item No.: JSG-PT32 & JSG-PT33
Material is milled or machined out between leaves to form a U or square shaped space for the filler. The filler is flush with the envelope which is flush with the pipe, permitting free flow.
A larger size is also available. (Folded envelope)
